Color Trend: Indigo

You all know how I love the color palette blue and white, preferably that deep bold indigo blue hue.  I have posted on the color combination a couple of times.  Well one color that I believe to be trending (which never went out for me) is Indigo Blue.  A darker hue of indigo was named as one of Pantone’s Spring/Summer 2013 colors, Monaco Blue.  So there is no doubt that this color is trending this year.

Indigo is such a stunning color.  It’s a bright, calm, soothing color and it also compliments any skin tone and a multitude of colors.  Indigo has been used since the late 1200′s, the color named after indigo dye which was derived from the plant.  A color that royals loved to use in their fashion and decor, and we are still loving this color centuries later.
