I thought I’d start out the week with a feature on a great furniture company I use, Stanford Furniture. They are a high-end, high-quality furniture company made in the United States, based out of Claremont, North Carolina. I’m a huge supporter of American-made goods, because it supports our economy, it is more eco-friendly, and the quality is superb compared to the imported goods.

Stanford Furniture takes pride it’s ability to provide comfortable pieces with precise tailored upholstery pieces. Each fabric piece is individually cut to assure full pattern match on the front, sides and back of the piece. And their ability to provide comfort to each piece is due to their attention to the structural make of the furniture: the frame’s pitch is a critical importance and the frame has eight-way hand tied coil spring construction. The seat cushions are seat produced with spring down or “feathersoft” construction and back cushions are made from blend down. Frames are produced from fine hard woods; maple, beech or oak are used depending on the style.
